great staff but lack of amenities
The staff truly stood out, being friendly and accommodating during our stay. The Prestige Double Room was quite spacious, offering a comfortable experience for us.
The amenities could use improvement, as there weren't enough options for leisure activities.

would love to stay here again
We stayed in a Classic Double Room with a comfy bed, private bathroom, and flat-screen TV. The food was exceptional, especially the Cumbrian lamb. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Morning breakfast had a great selection, including freshly baked croissants and lovely organic juices. Also appreciated the warm bathrobes and free toiletries. Perfect for relaxation.

Historic charm of the building, Scenic views of the surrounding landscape, Well-maintained outdoor amenities
Lack of lift access up to rooms!!! Poor management of reservations!!! A bit more attention to maintenance would go a long way!!! Consider improving dining service efficiency and providing more comprehensive local information!!!

We had an excellent stay with our large family, where the location was fantastic for exploring. The food was top-notch. I agree that the multiple course meals were delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the lovely garden area for evening relaxation.
My kids wished for a bit more entertainment options for families.

Had a lovely stay with stunning views 👌 but check-in was a bit chaotic. The evening meal was a highlight, especially the silver-service presentation. Would have preferred more timely breakfast service.

Lovely stay but some kinks to iron out
We had a great time overall. The location is stunning, and the staff was super friendly. Dinner service was a bit of a mess though. it felt rushed and chaotic. Breakfast was nice but a little awkward with seating. Loved the in-room breakfast option we tried! Just wish the room had a mini fridge for late-night snacks.

The large, comfy bed was a highlight, providing a great night's sleep. The staff showed friendliness and attentiveness, especially during breakfast. there were issues with the reception experience, as the greeting was lacking warmth. the bar meals did not meet expectations compared to the prices, and breakfast didn't quite deliver, with cold beans being a disappointment.
